Data Dictionary Speed

We recently upgraded from v15.1 to v22.1 (yay!) with very few tweaks. Looking good and working well!

I'm working with the new Data Dictionary grid interface. It looks great, but seems to drag, at best. After entering a field name and pressing Enter or Tab, the next cell is highlighted, then it reverts back to the Field Name entry - usually. Sometimes it works properly. Sometimes it is just stuck in that cycle. Very frustrating, to say the least (I've almost broken my keyboard!).

Am I missing something? Is there something that's not set correctly?

Hi James,

We are implementing some changes in the upcoming PxPlus 2026 Upd 1 release that should significantly speed-up the initial grid load for the Data Dictionary Elements tab although I don't think this will affect the specific issue you are describing.

Entering a new element and pressing ENTER should keep focus on the Field Name column while pressing TAB should move focus to the Data Class column.

In both cases, various checks are done to ensure that the Field Name entered is valid.

Since this doesn't seem to be what you are experiencing - please enter a support ticket where we can gather more information.  For example - does this happen for every table or just one?  How many elements does this table have?
