Hello All,
I have a customer who is using a web app for their Warehouse Management System. They are trying to get a few fields (from our PxPlus database). I know there are a few ways to do this. I was wondering if using EzWeb Server with API calls returning JSON would be a good (modern) way to handle it.
Does anyone have any thoughts on subject? I might have a follow up question on EzWeb Server.

Sure, the EzWeb server can handle that - just look up 'PxPlus Web Services' in the manual : https://manual.pvxplus.com/?PxPlus%20Web%20Services.htm .

It may not be listed as "EZWeb Server" but it's probably the item 6 up from the bottom of the list: Web Server.
As far as I can tell, the EZWeb Server is included in every development version, including the 'Base' version. "Web Server" in the link you provided is the "PxPlus WebServer" which is a much more extensive version and only available in the 'Web' (or E-Commerce) version of PxPlus.

From what I read I believe you are right. I'm trying to configure the port to use EZWebServer. I'm running the pxplus ide and the pxplus web ide. When I click on anything (e.g. Web Deployment / Configure PxPlus Web Server) it brings me to Documentation Page. i.e. it doesnt open up anything. It does this in both programs.
I am running PxPlus 2020 .....According to the documentation on the page it says:
When you install PxPlus 2016 or later, a new shortcut is created for the PxPlus Web IDE. The PxPlus Web IDE provides application developers with Web browser accessibility to some of the standard PxPlus development and setup tools that are also available on the PxPlus IDE Main Launcher (Windows).
any thoughts?
when i went to test the port (via browser) it was open on it showed me a config page....this might help.. i will check it.
i got this to work and i got it to return some rudimentary tags from a pxplus program using
print (%print_fn)"<h1>testing</h1>"
