Hi Everyone,
I am considering implementing Webster+ in our organization for managing timesheets, but I have a few questions:
1).Do I need a web-based license to operate Webster+?
2).Is Webster+ compatible with a Windows environment?
3).Is Webster+ a feasible solution for entering labor hours in a timesheet?
4).What is the process to implement Webster+ in our organization?
5).Do you have any documentation available for setting up Webster+, connecting it with the PXPlus data dictionary, running the web app, and updating files on the PXPlus side?
6).For Webster+, do all users who need to enter hours require a web license?
- Yes a web licnese is required.
- Yes. Webster+ is compatible anywhere PxPlus can run (Windows, Linux, AIX , and MacOS).
- Yes that sounds like a good use case.
- Install PxPlus and setup Webtser+ on your web server. Create your Webster+ pages for the timesheet entry.
- There is several sources of documentation and examples that will help you along.

- No. Only the server needs a PxPlus license. Users are accessing it through a web browser and do not need PxPlus installed and therefor no license.
I have a few questions regarding the Webster+ setup. I am planning to set up a testing environment on my local PC with a single-user web license. Could you provide guidance on how to configure the web server for this setup? Is it possible to do so on a local machine with just one web license? Any recommendations or best practices you can share would be greatly appreciated.
Yes you can install on a local machine. In the Webster doc link provided by Devon below, check out the Setup and Configuration section. Also the link to the Webster+ setup video will guide through the set up .
