Hi all,
Has anyone worked with Oracle JDE DB2?  Looking for best and fastest way to read data from them and write to PxPlus files (Direct, etc...).. We currently use ODBC, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a better way.
Thank you!

Hi PvxPlus community!!
I have been wondering if there is a way to generate great quality reports using Pvxplus latest version.  In the past, I have created .JPG templates and then use these to output reports as PDF files, but have noticed the quality is not the best (maybe I am doing something wrong).
Anyone has a better and different way?
Thank you!

Hi all,
Is there an easy way to increase the external key size on a direct/keyed file?  This file has only one external key.
In the screenshot below, the external key size is 20, how do we go about increasing this to 30, without having to create a new direct file and then copy records from current file.
Thank you!

Programming / How to PING Windows Systems and/switches Using PvxPlus
« on: April 03, 2023, 03:38:45 PM »
Hi all,
Does anyone know how to PING network devices using PvxPlus (latest version)?  We have used the following to see if a Windows server allows RDP, but this does not work on those servers which do not allow it..
We have used OPEN (chn, TIM=10, err=*next) "[tcp]IPaddress;tcp-portnum

Thank you!

Hi everyone,
We are looking into an option to use an SSL certificate with EZWeb Server and while reading there is a section on the EZWeb Server documentation "Automatic Security Certificate Reload" where it talks about "Let's Encrypt SSL/TLS Certificates.  Wanted to see if anyone out there is using "Let's Encrypt SSL certs" with EZWeb Server and AUTO RENEWING them automatically.
Has anyone had any issues with this type of setup?  We can always get one from GoDaddy or another place, but liked the fact that documentation says that EZWeb will automatically be updated to use renewed certificate if one is found.
ALSO, our EZWeb is running on our on-prem RedHat Linux Server Version 8.3 and we will be allowing selected external sites via Firewall forwarding to get to our EZWeb server.
Thank you!

Web Services / Setup EZWeb server on RedHat Linux 8.x Server
« on: August 09, 2022, 01:04:03 PM »
Hi all,
This is our first time setting up an EZWeb server on a RedHat Linux 8.x server.  We are testing the unsecure connection with port 8080 and when we try to access it via http://192.168.77.201:8080, we get the error shown on the attached file.  We probably still need to do some additional configuration.  Does anyone know what additional steps we are missing?
Our goal for getting setting up this EZWeb server is to be able to integrated one application on our current custom ERP (written in PVXPLUS) to TULIP via (BI-DIRECTIONAL) API calls.
Thank you!

Web Services / Setup EZWeb server and API calls
« on: June 02, 2022, 11:53:03 AM »
Hi all,
Looking for some input on the following:
We have a custom ERP system running on PVXPlus (latest) PRO version hosted on RedHat Linux Enterprise version 8.6.  Need to setup some API calls from our custom ERP system to TULIP.  We were advised to buy one (1) PVXPlus WEB version for Linux, so we could setup EZWeb server and use this for the API calls [after all other network configuration allowing connectivity from TULIP and our RedHat Linux server (EZWeb server) are done]
Also, we use PVXPlus SIMPLE Client server, so ALL our endpoints are using WindX (more info just in case) to access our ERP data.
Has anyone worked on API calls and EZWeb (using PVXPlus) that could share some of their experiences with us?
Thank you!
