General Announcements / PVX Plus now part of Jonas Software
« on: April 28, 2023, 01:32:03 PM »
We are excited to announce that PVX Plus Technologies Ltd. has recently been acquired by Jonas Software.

What does this mean for you?

We want to reassure you that our commitment to providing you with ongoing features and enhancements to the PxPlus Development Suite remains unchanged.

On a day-to-day, it is business as usual. Only now, as part of Jonas Software, we have added resources that will allow us to focus more time on the development of the tools you need to keep up with evolving technology.

What does this mean for us?

As part of this acquisition, PVX Plus will continue to operate as an independent company under the same name, management team and staff. As for us, we will continue to lead this dedicated and talented team.

Our office remains in Markham, Ontario which is at the center of the 2nd largest tech cluster in Canada and also the home of Jonas Software's headquarters.

Why Jonas Software?

The welfare of our clients and employees are very important to us. As such, we spent a great deal of time looking for the right partner.  Our new parent company, Jonas Software, is a reputable company and a buy-and-hold forever acquirer of high-tech software companies from around the globe.

More importantly, Jonas Software shares our values. The Jonas Software commitment to Software For Life aligns well with our philosophy of preserving your investment in your application while moving forward with new technology.

This acquisition will, most certainly, allow us to better serve your development needs today and in the future.

Our story continues…

In 2005, we set out with the goal to focus on the issues and needs of the business application developers using PxPlus to create an even better more advanced development environment. We are proud of all the enhancements and new tools that our team has been able to deliver to you, our loyal customers and friends, throughout the years.

Both PVX Plus and Jonas Software and are confident that this acquisition will bring about positive changes for everyone. Your success is our success and we look forward to the next chapter.

Thank you!

We want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for putting your trust in us over the last 17 years and bringing us to where we are today. With your support, we have accomplished a lot and we are excited to see how much more we can do together in the years to come.

I don’t think it will help ProvideX -- but it will help PxPlus! 😊

Jonas, as our parent company, will allow us to focus more on the development and sales of PxPlus.  They have the resources to help with and offload some of the other business functions such as payroll.  In addition, being part of a larger group of companies, we can leverage the knowledge/expertise of the other businesses to help us keep up with technology trends.

Off Topic / Re: Ontario derecho storm
« on: May 25, 2022, 05:13:11 PM »
Hello everyone,

Our offices were without power for a good 24 hours after the storm hit our area.   Once power was restored, we went to the office to make sure everything was operational for the return from the long weekend.  It looks like Dave's support ticket went astray.  We were able to locate the ticket and have responded.

Fortunately, that was the worst that happened to us directly.  We all had a lot of debris to clean up but everyone is safe.  We were very lucky.   Some of our neighbors however were not so lucky.  Uxbridge, which is about an hour from our office, was hit with a tornado and is in a state of emergency.   Driving around our neighborhood it is hit and miss:  trees pulled from their roots, shingles missing and a lot of branches down.

The best practice would be to work with your Reseller for any support related questions or to report bugs/issues.
