Updated PxBasic
« on: April 07, 2022, 02:49:18 AM »
Hi

Since the SD license is phased out this year, how about an updated PxBasic -- maybe not to V19 which is about to be released, but to V18 ?

Thanks

For most development work a Demo license will suffice.

Although it does have a nag message and limits the size of PxPlus files, it does provide a fully functional Web license for a single user.  For Web development, you can even launch the ezweb/server or use Apache in background using the demo license and test iNomads or Webster+ applications (subject to file limits and nag messages).

Out of curiosity, is the 5000 records limit valid for all kind of files channels or will the demo license allow me to retrieve 5001 records from a SQL connected database using direct mode and issuing SQL statements to the file channel ?

Actually the 5000 record limit only comes into play when adding records to a PxPlus file.  You can open and read any size file.
